Why EquipHotel matters to hospitality professionals
EquipHotel is a biennial event dedicated to equipment and services in the hospitality industry. Its history dates back to 1954, with the creation of the International Hotel Equipment Exhibition. More than seventy years later, the event is no longer limited to furniture or professional kitchens: it covers the entire hospitality experience, from the design of a place to its daily operation.
The figures published by the organizer give the measure of the 2026 edition. Among the expected visitors, 61% come directly from the hospitality industry, 26% from specifiers - architects, designers, decorators or design offices - and 9% from purchasing and distribution. The show also announces 40% international exhibitors. EquipHotel is therefore as much a place for sourcing as it is a space for comparison, market intelligence and decision-making.
The potential is real. Time remains limited.
The theme “Plural Hospitality” reflects the evolution of the sector. A hotel can now bring together accommodation, catering, work, well-being and local life. The solutions presented must meet several requirements at the same time: customer comfort, cost control, energy efficiency, simplicity of operation and a strong sense of place.
Four areas to explore before your visit
Design
This area brings together indoor and outdoor furniture, layout, decoration, lighting, tableware, materials and bathrooms. It is of particular interest to establishments undergoing renovation, architects and decorators. To compare effectively, photograph each solution with the vendor's name and immediately note the project it could address.
Precision changes everything.
Foodservice
Restaurant owners and chefs will find kitchen and bar equipment, cleaning solutions, food products and service-related tools. A demonstration is useful when it addresses a specific problem: preparation time, energy consumption, safety, maintenance or consistent quality. Arrive with your volumes, your constraints and your budget rather than with a simple wish list.
The need should guide the test.
Tech & Services
This part covers management software, reservations, artificial intelligence, robotics, home automation, security, finance, human resources and CSR. Ask vendors to show the full journey, not just a glamorous interface: deployment, training, support, data export, integrations, and total cost over several years.
A demo is not enough.
Wellness
Spa, fitness, bedding, welcome products and well-being equipment are grouped together. Here too, usage must take precedence over fashion. Check maintenance, durability, consumption, parts availability and the time required of the teams.
Day-to-day operations should guide the decision.
Companies, institutions and 2026 highlights
The 2026 program already makes it possible to identify several concrete names. The “Do not disturb, praise of intimacy” space brings together Maison A&G, Mathilde de l'Ecotais, Emilieu Studio and Wilmotte & Associés. Their scenographies feature companies like Balsan, Éclairage Roger Pradier, La Compagnie Dumas, Le Jacquard Français, Drouault, Pierre Frey, Toiles de Mayenne and even THG Paris.
The Exclusive Collection will bring together manufacturers for the high-end hotel industry on nearly 1,000 m², including Dumas Paris, Bronzes de France, Atelier Lyonnais de Maroquinerie, Jules Pansu, LEXON and Meubles Thouret. Professionals interested in innovation will also be able to follow the Innovation Awards. The competition program notably announces the Pet Friendly Trophy, the Best Breakfast competition, the French Massage Championship and the ABF Shaker Challenge.
For a hotel manager, the programme provides a way to compare design intent, equipment performance, operational constraints and the final guest experience in a single day.
These selections can serve as a starting point, but the list and schedules continue to evolve. Consult the official program shortly before your arrival to avoid building your day around a provisional schedule.
The programme may still change.
How to build a useful visit plan
Start by writing down three decisions you want to make at the show. For example: choosing bedding, pre-selecting a PMS and identifying two furniture manufacturers. Each decision must be associated with simple criteria - budget, deadline, maintenance, operational impact - then with four or five exhibitors maximum.
Three objectives are enough.
Place decisive meetings in the morning, when discussions are easier. Then keep one slot for conferences and another for discoveries. A day without any buffer will be disrupted by the first long conversation; a day with too little structure mainly produces brochures.
If several employees participate in the show, divide the areas before the opening, use a common note grid and set a daily debrief to reconcile the findings before they get mixed up.
After each meeting, write down three things: interest, concern and next action. This discipline avoids confusing suppliers during the debrief. For targeted research, one day may be enough. Two days are preferable if you have to work on several universes or compare a full opening or renovation project.
The debrief begins on site.
Practical information: badge, opening hours and transport
Reserved for professionals, the show requires a badge. The organizer invites visitors to pre-register; this badge provides access to conferences and events without separate registration. Children are not admitted to the show.
The venue is served by Metro line 12, station Porte de Versailles, trams T2 and T3a and buses 39 and 80. Opening and closing times concentrate flows: check your itinerary the same day and allow time before an important meeting.
A comfortable outfit, a light bag and an power bank are more useful than an overloaded program. The show extends over four pavilions; even a well-organised route involves a lot of walking.
Travel light.
